'Teen Mom' Season 4 Will Be Last For Original Stars Maci, Catelynn, Amber And Farrah

Say so long to your favorite Teen Mom’s. “Season 4 will be the final season of ‘Teen Mom’ with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah,” MTV exclusively told Us Weekly. A premiere date for the fourth and finale season of “Teen Mom” has not yet been announced, but is expected to air this summer.

Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Farrah Abraham and Catelynn Lowell were all part of the first season of MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” in 2009, and moved on to appear in the first installment of its spin-off “Teen Mom.” On the MTV hit reality docudrama, viewers have watched the four women deal with break-ups, adoptions, proposals, abuse, arrests and other struggles over three seasons of the original installment of “Teen Mom.”

“They will continue to be a part of our MTV family, and we’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention.” Teen Mom 2, starring Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer, will continue to air on MTV.

With the exception of Amber Portwood, the four seem to have their lives together. Catelynn and her boyfriend Tyler are engaged and seem to be at peace with their decision to give their daughter up for adoption, Farrah is pursuing a modeling career and has a book coming out this spring, and Maci is working on a clothing line with her ex Kyle King. And while that might be bad news for Teen Mom fans, it’s great news for the girls and the less famous teen moms who watch the show.

Amber Portwood is facing another disappointing consequence of breaking the law; a judge managing her case wouldn’t let her participate in the Teen Mom reunion special filmed this weekend.

The girls from Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 met up to tape a Teen Mom super-special, but Amber wasn’t able to travel from Indiana where she’s on probation and tethered by an ankle bracelet to New York City where the tapping took place.
